How to backup Azure Blob Storage Data?

Here is a step-by-step process to backup entire data of Azure Blob Storage using this robust Recoveryfix Azure Blob Storage Backup software.

Step 1: Download and install Recoveryfix Azure Blob Storage Software.

Step 2: On the software’s homepage, click on Add Project option.

Step 3: Enter the Project Name in the software.

Step 4: Double-click on Azure Blob Storage tile.

Step 5: Enter Job Name to assign a backup job.

Step 6: In the Azure Blob Storage Connection Details window, enter Tenant ID, Client ID, Client Secret, and Subscription ID. Click Next to map Azure account with the software.

Step 7: The software will start mapping Azure account with the software and show “Please wait while connecting” message.

Step 8: Once account is fetched, the software will ask you to “Do you want to save credentials” message in the toolbar. Click Yes or No accordingly and proceed to the backup process.

Step 9: In the Directories: Storage Accounts wizard, select specific Storage Accounts using tick option in the selective checkbox. Also, you can click on Select All option to select all the storage accounts.

Note: Utilize Search option to find selective Storage accounts from multiple ones.

Step 10: The software will fetch all the files and folders from the Azure Blob Storage accounts and open Select your files and folders window. Select necessary folders to view its file types and click on Next.

Step 11: In the software’s Filter wizard, select filters from:

  • Date Filters: Select a date range from Start Date to End Date to retrieve data between selected dates.
Note: Tick File Modification Date to select modified data according to date range.
  • File Filters: Extract specific files from the Azure Blob Storage database.
  • Exclude File Type: Input File type names such as .doc, .xls, .pdf, etc., that you don’t want to back up from the selected account.
  • Include File Type: Input specific File types, including .doc, .xls, .pdf, and many more that you want to backup.
  • Set an operation timeout for larger files while downloading: Select a time to retrieve larger files at the selected time.
  • Version Filters: It will help you back up data of specific or different versions.
  • Include All Versions: Backup all the versions of the specific files in the backup file.
  • Include most recent versions: Backup selected version numbers so the software can backup those recent versions and provide specific results.

After applying all the filters, click Next to proceed with the backup process.

Step 12: In the Destination window, click Browse to select destination folder.

Step 13: In the Browse For Folder window, select a specific folder from drive and click Next to save backed-up files.

Note: Click Make New Folder to save backed-up data in that new folder.

Step 14: Again, in the Destination path, click Next to initiate backup process.

Step 15: Select schedule window that provides two options to schedule backup processes: Execute Immediate and Schedule.

  • Execute Immediate: It will start your backup process instantly.
  • Schedule: Set a time when you want to automatically backup Azure data.

Once you select the schedule option, click on Next.

Step 16: Click on the selected project name and view the live Running backup process in the toolbar.

Step 17: Once the backup process is completed, the software shows the status as Ready. Click on Backup Report to generate detailed backup report.

Step 18: To download Summary Report, click Save Report to CSV, and to generate a detailed files report, click View Details option.

Step 19: To download a detailed backed-up report, click on Save Report to CSV option.

Step 20: The software will open Save As window, select a folder, and click Save option.

Step 21: Once backup report is saved, the software will pop up “CSV file saved successfully” message and click OK.
