How to use Recoveryfix Salesforce Backup and Restore tool?
Here is a step-by-step process to backup the entire data of Salesforce using this robust Recoveryfix Salesforce Backup and Restore software.
Step 1: Download and install the Recoveryfix Salesforce Backup software.
Step 2: Launch software and click on Add Project.
Step 3: Enter Project Name and click OK.
Step 4: Double-click on Salesforce option.
Step 5: Now, enter Job Name in the respective field to assign a new job and click Next.
Step 6: In the Salesforce Connection Details, enter Domain URL, Client ID, and Client Secret. Click Next to map Salesforce account with the software.
Step 7: The software will start mapping the Salesforce account and show “Please wait while connecting” message.
Step 8: Once the source is mapped, the software will ask users to save credentials in the software by displaying “Do you want to save credentials” message. Click Yes or No accordingly.
Step 9: The software will pop up Destination wizard; click on Browse to select a specific location.
Step 10: In the Browse For Folder window, select desired location or folder and click OK to save backed-up files in it. Also, you can click Make New Folder to create a new folder for storing backed-up files.
Step 11: Again, in the Destination window, click Next.
Step 12: The software will open Select schedule window and choose Execute Immediate to start backup process instantly. Schedule to set a time when software will automatically start backup process and click Next.
Step 13: The software will start backup process. Select Job name to view live backup process.
Step 14: Once the backup process is completed, the software will show Ready status in the toolbar.
Step 15: Click on Backup Report to generate detailed backup reports.
Step 16: The software will show Project and Job Summary. You can download this report in CSV file by clicking Save report to CSV or click View Details to generate detailed file backup report.
Step 17: Once detailed backup report is generated, click on Save Report to CSV to download this report.
Step 18: In the Save As wizard, select desired folder in your local or network drive of system and click Save.
Step 19: The software will pop up “CSV file saved successfully” message and click OK.
Step 20: Finally, click on Close to end the backup process.
Follow these simple steps to restore the Salesforce backed-up database to the selective Salesforce account.
Step 1: Download and install the Recoveryfix Salesforce Backup and Restore software.
Step 2: On the software’s homepage, click on Restore.
Step 3: Double-click on Salesforce tile.
Step 4: In the Selection of backup drive path for restore process screen, select backup path from software and click Next.
Note: Choose “Select the backup drive path to restore” option to select a backup drive from the system’s local or network drive.
Step 5: In the “Select your preferred Backup for restore” window, check the backup file and click Next.
Step 6: The software will open Select Type window, where you can select Data or Metadata that you want to restore according to your need and click Next.
Step 7: In the software’s Select Restore Mode wizard, select options from:
- Update existing record and create remaining record.
- Skip existing record and create remaining record.
- Create duplicate if exist and create remaining record.
After selecting preferred option, click Next to proceed restoration process.
Step 8: In the following Salesforce Connection Details window, enter Domain URL, Client ID, and Client Secret. Click Next to map the Salesforce account with the software.
Step 9: The software will start mapping Salesforce account and show “Please wait while connecting” message.
Step 10: The software will start Restoring objects to the Salesforce account and show live restore process in the toolbar.
Step 11: Once restoration process is completed, click Restore logs to view logs report and click Save to CSV to download a detailed summary report in CSV format.
Step 12: Select specific location to Save CSV file.
Step 13: Once CSV file is saved, the software will pop up “Restore details have been successfully exported to CSV” message and click OK.
Step 14: Finally, click on Finish to end the restore process.
Step 15: In the following wizard, give your consent by clicking on Yes, to end restore process.
